Sebastien: 'It's really cool, in only two weeks we managed to receive support from all our friends, we found two sponsors and almost got the car !'
Max: 'It's great! The launch and the publication of the website and crowdfunding pages have been a complete success. Now we must maintain the excitement and activity of Skempton On The Road. Do you have any news about the car next to your house?'
'The owner replied we can go and see the car beginning of April. Do you wanna cross France on a bike?'
'Yeah right. Do you think I'm an athlete?'
'It will always be cheaper than taking the train, and it would be cool to leave together in the car straight after buying it.'
'That's for sure, especially because it will be 100% thanks to the support of people around us! We need to thank them one way or another.'
'A postcard ? a radio announcement? Some... Nah we're gonna stay with the postcard'
'We can do better and even for Enfants du Désert, we are studying Civil Engineering and they are doing humanitarian construction projects, we have the opportunity to do something so much bigger.'
'What are you thinking about?'
'WE'RE GOING INTERNATIONAL BUDDY !'
'How so?'
'Yes, look: Skempton On The Road can become so much bigger, of course it's not going to be an international billion dollar company like Google but I'm positive that we can link many volunteers like us and, therefore, making our project bigger. We could really help groups like Enfants du Désert and have a major impact on access to education for kids less lucky than us.'
'So in the end it would be creating and gathering societies of students in different engineering schools around France and the UK supervising it all from Skempton On The Road and to work hands on.'
'Exactly! Nevertheless, a project twice as big implies four time more work. Do you feel ready?'
'Let's get to it already !'
'Come on, let's finish our computing coursework and we begin this.'
'Yes man'
Thank you for all your support, you have already got us far, but you will see we will take you even further !
More informations about our great projects in the following weeks.
